Refunds & Payouts

How payouts work

  1. Your bag sells. Someone buys your bag at your ask (your cost plus the increase you set, up to double). You get an email immediately — and it carries your claim link, so you can set up your payout right away.
  2. Set up once. Connect a bank account or a crypto (USDC) wallet through Stripe (~2 minutes; Stripe handles identity and tax forms) — right away, or whenever suits you.
  3. Short release delay. The money is secured instantly and held for 2 days to absorb chargebacks.
  4. Paid automatically. Your ask minus the 10% bagholding fee transfers the moment the hold releases if you're connected (otherwise we email the claim link again); standard payouts land in 1-2 business days (USDC wallet payouts in minutes). The number in the email is the number that lands; processing and rail fees are covered by the bagholding fee.

Reminders go out at 7, 30 and 80 days. Payouts unclaimed 90 days after release expire and are forfeited after a final notice — claim in time. If Stripe Connect isn't available in your country, contact us before the claim window ends and we'll arrange an alternative where legally possible. Payouts tied to a disputed or refunded charge are frozen until resolved.

Purchases are final

A bag is placed the moment you pay, and any owner you buy from is owed their payout immediately, so completed purchases aren't refundable. This is stated at checkout. The one exception is automatic, below.

Automatic refunds

If your payment succeeds but the bag you selected changed price before we could place it (your 5-minute hold had expired and it was sold), we refund you in full automatically and email you to reselect.

Removals

If we remove your bag for violating the Terms, it reverts to open at its initial ask and no refund is due. If we remove it for any other reason, you get a full refund.

Timing

Refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe (USDC payments are refunded in USDC to the originating wallet) and typically appear within 5-10 business days.
